Assembly Equipment Operator Job Listing at Bob's Discount Furniture in Taftville, CT (Job ID R-33064)

Description

The primary functions of a Mezz Stocker/Picker is to put-away built/unbuilt assembly product to the proper location, to pick product to be assembled and to Pick chairs to be shipped.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Count received product to verify inventory accuracy
• Identify space needs and make appropriate adjustments
• Relocate staged material to proper locations
• Double stack pallets of product to save space using a pallet stacker
• Use scanning gun to make inventory movement entries
• Pick product to be assembled
• Document picked product for assembly stats by builder
• Audit locations for inventory accuracy
• Maintain proper appearance of assembly room
  • Pallets: sorted and stacked neatly and safely
  • Inspect and maintain electric pallet jacks and pallet stackers
• Observe all the safety requirements of Bob's Discount Furniture. 
• Report hazardous situations immediately to Assembly Manager if unable to correct yourself.
• Pick product for Cross Dock deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Solid knowledge and competence on RP scanner gun
• Excellent physical condition
• Ability to move and lift heavy objects
• Good verbal and listening skills
• Strong interpersonal and human relations skills

Reporting Relationships

• Report to:  Assembly Manager

Desired Qualifications

• High School diploma
• Warehouse experience
