BMC is looking for a Senior Scrum Master to join our amazing global team! 
At this level, the Senior Agile Partner coordinates training and support for Agile tool adoption within a program and leads initiatives that integrate collaborative practices across teams. They evaluate the adoption of Agile Engineering practices and play a key role in the strategic application of project management practices, ensuring that scaled Agile practices are effectively implemented across multiple teams. 
Here is how, through this exciting role, YOU will contribute to BMC's and your own success: 
The Senior Agile Partner will oversee Agile Partner practices and perform the following duties:

  • Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Coordinate cross-team ceremonies to foster collaboration among Agile teams within a program.
  • Remove Impediments and Shield the Team: Facilitate the resolution of high-impact impediments affecting multiple teams within a program, ensuring alignment and focus.
  • Promote Adoption of Agile Practices: Develop and implement coaching and mentoring approaches for Agile Partners and teams, strengthening capabilities, leadership skills, and overall Agile maturity within a program.
  • Provide Agile Governance and Oversight: Evaluate the effectiveness of Agile implementation within a program, facilitating necessary changes to optimize team performance.
  • Facilitate Effective Communication and Stakeholder Alignment: Drive effective communication across teams and stakeholders, manage expectations, and ensure program priorities, risks, dependencies, and progress are clearly understood.
  • Support Backlog Management: Facilitate the integration of product backlogs across a program, ensuring strategic alignment and clear priorities for complex initiatives.
  • Monitor and Report on Progress: Analyze delivery metrics and trends across the program to identify risks, improvement opportunities, and areas requiring attention, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
  • AI and Data-Driven Improvement: Identify and apply AI-enabled approaches to improve delivery insights, team effectiveness, decision-making, and operational efficiency, using measurable evidence to demonstrate impact.
  • Foster Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement within a program, measuring impact and adjusting as needed for optimization.
  • Assess, Implement, and Support Agile Tool Adoption: Coordinate training and support for Agile tool adoption within a program, addressing challenges to ensure smooth adoption and effective use.
  • Drive Adoption of Agile Engineering Practices: Evaluate the adoption of Agile Engineering practices within a program, identifying barriers to full utilization and developing strategies to overcome them. 
  • Support Scaled Agile Practices: Lead the execution of scaled Agile practices within a program, optimizing processes and facilitating cross-team collaboration to meet program objectives.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience: 
• 7+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in software development environments.  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) / Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification / equivalent certification  • Deep understanding of agile principles and methodologies, particularly Scrum.  • Experience with agile tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.  • Comfortable with working across multiple organizational roles, from executive leadership to interns.  • Ability to influence, persuade and drive alignment within the team and across stakeholders.  • Passion for coaching others and for witnessing the improvements as a result.  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. 
Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills: 
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.  • Experience working in enterprise software companies.  • Technical background in software development or related field.  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including DevOps, CI/CD, and test automation.  • Additional certifications in agile methodologies or related fields. CA-DNP

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 3,398,800 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. 
The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
