Position Summary: BMC Software do Brasil is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our legal team in Brazil. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain practical legal experience within a leading global software company. The legal assistant will be an integral part of the team, providing support primarily to the commercial sales team, as well as to various other corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the legal team with the review and drafting of various commercial agreements, including software licensing, professional services, and confidentiality agreements.
· Support the legal department in completing and managing a range of legal and corporate forms and documentation.
· Provide assistance with corporate secretarial matters, including the preparation of minutes, corporate resolutions, and maintenance of corporate records.
· Conduct comprehensive legal research on diverse topics, including commercial, corporate, tax, and intellectual property law, to support the legal team's advisory role.
· Work in close collaboration with the Brazilian legal team on daily operational matters and projects.
· Provide support to the broader LATAM legal team on an as-needed basis.
· Collaborate with other departments, including Human Resources, Marketing, Procurement, Corporate, and Tax, on legal-related inquiries and tasks.
· Manage outside counsel in the region, ensuring effective cost management and quality of work.
· Provide internal legal training.
Qualifications and Requirements:
· Currently enrolled in a Law degree program (Cursando Direito) at an accredited university in Brazil.
· Strong academic credentials.
· Excellent analytical, organizational, and research skills.
· High degree of attention to detail.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Fluency in Portuguese and professional working proficiency in English are mandatory.
· A demonstrated interest in technology law is preferred.
