BMC is creating a new leadership role to accelerate growth of its BMC Automated Mainframe Intelligence (AMI) portfolio through strategic product partnerships. Working across the business unit leadership team, the Director of AI Product Partnerships will define and lead BMC AMI's AI technical partner strategy — building deep technical relationships with leading AI, infrastructure, cloud, and platform providers to expand integration opportunities, accelerate adoption, and extend the market reach of BMC's agentic mainframe technology.

They have a proven track record of building product partnerships that turn emerging technology trends into commercially meaningful growth opportunities.
This role operates at the intersection of product management, technology innovation, and ecosystem strategy. Acting as the business unit's primary product partnership leader for AI, this leader will work closely with solutions marketing, product management, R&D, architecture, and innovation teams to ensure BMC solutions are designed, integrated, and optimized for emerging AI ecosystems and infrastructure. The Director will partner closely with the Global Partner Organization and Strategic Partnership teams to help identify, evaluate, and enable next-generation AI and agentic partnerships that extend the reach of BMC's AI portfolio, strengthen market positioning, and create new paths to adoption and commercial success.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a new category of technology partnerships at the intersection of enterprise AI and mission-critical mainframe systems. The right leader will help BMC connect its mainframe intelligence portfolio to the broader AI ecosystem and create new paths for customers to modernize with confidence.
Success in this role will require building strong cross-functional relationships across Solutions Marketing, Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Partner Ecosystem teams to ensure our AI solutions are effectively positioned, differentiated, and scaled through both emerging and established strategic partners.

- Develop the product partnership and ecosystem strategy for mainframe-native AI and serve as the Business Unit's technical partnership leader for next generation AI and agentic solutions.

- Influence product direction through technical insights gathered from AI, infrastructure, and emerging technology partners.
- Provide technical leadership to the Global Partner Organization on emerging AI technologies, partner capabilities, and solution architectures.
- Drive joint launches with priority product partners, collaborating with Solutions Marketing, Product Management, Corporate Marketing, and Global Partner Sales to define the value proposition, launch plan, sales enablement, and market activation.
- Collaborate with the Channel Partner team to identify marketplace opportunities, develop partner-ready solution motions, and bring innovative AI and mainframe solutions to market.
- Maintain operating plans, milestones, and status reporting for priority partners, providing regular updates to business unit leadership on progress, risks, decisions, and next steps.
- Represent BMC with senior executives, founders, and industry leaders.
To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:
Success in this role will be measured by the quality and impact of strategic product partnerships: partner relationships that influence the roadmap, integrations that expand the value of BMC AMI, joint market motions that create new demand, and executive-level engagement that positions BMC as a leader in agentic mainframe innovation.
