Description

School-Based BCBA Behavior Coach  Gilbert, Arizona | Full-Time, Salaried | Districtwide School Support  Salary Range: $90,000-$95,000    Position Overview  We are seeking a passionate School-Based BCBA Behavior Coach to partner with Gilbert Public Schools in strengthening classroom environments, supporting educators, and improving student access to learning.  This is a unique opportunity for a BCBA who wants to make a broader systems-level impact beyond a traditional direct-service caseload. In this role, you will work side-by-side with teachers, paraprofessionals, support teams, and school leaders to build practical, sustainable behavior support practices that can be carried forward across school settings.  What You Will Do
  • Coach and support educators in real classroom settings.
  • Help teams strengthen routines, transitions, reinforcement systems, regulation supports, student engagement, and proactive behavior strategies.
  • Model practical strategies and provide supportive, non-punitive feedback.
  • Use observation data to identify priorities and guide meaningful next steps.
  • Facilitate PLCs, staff consultation, and professional learning.
  • Partner with school and district leaders to support consistent implementation.
  • Support documentation, progress monitoring, implementation reviews, and reporting.
  • Help build sustainable classroom systems that improve student engagement, reduce barriers, and increase access to instruction.
What Makes This Role Different  This is not a traditional BCBA caseload role. You will not be limited to writing plans from a distance or working only with individual students. Instead, you will help educators feel more confident, supported, and equipped to create positive classroom environments.  Who We Are Looking For  We are looking for a collaborative, school-minded BCBA who enjoys coaching adults, building relationships, and turning behavior expertise into practical classroom support.  Required Qualifications
  • Current BCBA certification.
  • Arizona LBA credential required.
  • Experience coaching or supporting educators, paraprofessionals, or school teams.
  • Strong understanding of classroom systems, proactive behavior support, reinforcement, regulation, and instructional access.
  • Ability to use observation data to identify priorities and guide implementation.
  • Strong communication, organization, flexibility, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Public school experience, especially in special education, MTSS, PBIS, classroom consultation, or school-based behavior support.
  • Experience supporting multiple school teams or district-level initiatives.
  • Experience facilitating PLCs, staff training, professional development, or group consultation.
  • Background as a behavior coach, school consultant, district BCBA, MTSS/PBIS specialist, or school-based behavior support provider.
Why This Role Matters  Strong classroom systems change the day-to-day experience for both students and educators. As a School-Based BCBA Behavior Coach, you will help schools build the conditions students need to learn, participate, regulate, and succeed.
