ACCESSORY CATEGORY MANAGER
The Accessory Category Manager is responsible to grow and maintain the window treatment and mattress programs for Bassett Furniture. This includes providing product launch support and inventory replenishment for these two categories. The right person for this role will be a liaison between Bassett's retail showrooms and the window treatment/mattress category vendors. The Accessory Category Manager is required to work out of Bassett's corporate office Monday-Friday in Bassett, Virginia.
RESPONSIBILITES
· Merchandising of new product and programs
Create and maintain category cost sheets
· Implement category sales promotions
· Provide sales analysis for both categories
· Answer product questions from the field
· Assist stores with custom window quotes
· Manage inventory of stocked mattresses
· Establish and maintain vendor relationships
QUALIFICATIONS
· Associate's degree or equivalent experience
· Design and/or retail background is a plus
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, with advance Excel skills
· Experience in Salesforce or similar operating systems is preferred
· Attention to detail and accuracy with a creative eye is a must
· Strong capacity for multi-tasking with effective time management skills
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
· Flexibility to travel to stores and furniture markets when needed
