  SUMMARY   The intent of this position is to provide leadership to our origination and administrative teams at the location while closely collaborating with operation and logistics teams to effectively execute programs.  Additionally, this position will establish long-term relationships with customers to pursue grain origination.  This position will target customers and develop effective pricing strategies and promotions, represent the company at the farm level, and play a key role in planning logistics to meet the needs of customers and Bartlett facilities.   Responsibilities Develop, implement and lead the origination strategy for the Northgate facility. Recruit, develop, and retain origination and administrative team. Provide in-field coaching to team members. Effectively grow the grain business through a targeted approach to customers, maintaining regular contact with customers through on farm meetings, phone calls and other means of communication.  Participate in farm shows, networking activities, and complete cold calls.  Collaborate with operations and logistics team on space allocation and timing efficiencies. Develop and maintain effective business relationships with current and prospective customers. Effectively utilize customer relationship management tools. Understand customers grain marketing needs and collaborate in developing solutions.  Actively promote and establish farmer grain marketing programs. Purchase grain and collaborate with operations and merchandising staff to ensure logistical execution. Collect grain samples from growers to understand quality and facilitate merchandising programs. Provide timely service, marketing insights and solutions to current and potential customers. Monitor crop conditions and communicate effectively with merchandising teams. Comply with contract and risk management practices including but not limited to contract signature and execution.  Maintain accurate and detailed records. Participate in daily forecasting and strategizing of sales and marketing efforts. Monitor and communicate customer and competitor activity. Collaborate with our regenerative ag team in identifying and working with customers. Adhere to company safety policies and procedures and enforce them with other team members and visitors.   Qualifications: Required Successful completion of Certificate in Agriculture, Agri-Business certificate, or equivalent post-secondary education.  A combination of education and experience that provides the required level of competency, skills and abilities may be considered. Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in the Canadian grain industry including marketing, operations, transportation & crop production. Familiarity with futures markets and hedging. Demonstrated experience in negotiation and risk management. Strong communication & interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently to solve problems. Ability to prioritize on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Advanced math and computer skills. Strong work ethic and willingness to work extra hours when required. Must be proficient with MS Office programs. Must possess a valid class 5 driver's license.   Preferred Experience with production agriculture is preferred. Familiarity with customer database programs.
