Role Purpose
The Director Source to Pay (STP) Global Process Owner (GPO) drives policy, process, controls, technology and service effectiveness across MVH banners and functions to ensure financial, operational and governance goals are achieved.
This is a new role, designed to connect operational services together (e.g., purchasing, invoicing, master data management, payment, reconciliation, performance dashboards) for each banner, and to bring consistency in the way banners work, adapted for practice, regional regulatory and language differences.
Working with other members of the GBS Leadership team, the STP GPO deploys process documentation and change methodology, instills an improvement culture, manages multiple projects simultaneously and trains associates in analysis and improvement tools.
Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.
- Working with Finance, Commercial, Digital and Technology senior leadership, develop a global STP process mission, vision, technology and digital strategy, performance measures (KPIs, CSAT, regulatory compliance, operational control) measures that are aligned with the organization strategies.
- As a Global Process Owner responsible for implementing a multi-year improvement plan as well as ongoing process performance and governance. Host education and collaboration forums, providing guidance and motivation.
- Act as global subject matter expert, bring outside-In STP perspective helping to accelerate process improvement with relevant best practices and case studies.
- Other job duties as assigned.
Special Working Conditions:
- Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
- Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.
- Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
- Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.
- The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.
- Environment where pets are present.
Experience, Education and/or Training:
- Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Technology, Data Management, Operations, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Lean Six Sigma, Change Management and Project Management training is preferred.
- Previous experience driving the end-to-end strategy, operations, and continuous improvement of the S2P process, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, procurement operations, contract management, and accounts payable. The role will ensure process efficiency, policy compliance, cost savings, and supplier value creation across the enterprise.
- 10+ years of related work experience in a service environment.
- Experience working in a complex global environment.
- Strong knowledge of process and data management
- Global Financial Compliance Acumen.
- Ability to build networks and resiliently manage conflicts, focused on mutuality.
- Capacity to think strategically and break deliverable into prioritized, adaptable and realistic deliverables.
- Previous healthcare/veterinary experience is required.
Salary range: $129,880 -- $194,840
