The position of Facilities Mechanic 1 - Cleaning Specialist is primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of manufacturing, laboratory, cleanroom, shop, and/or general housekeeping areas. The Facilities Mechanic 1 preforms routine custodial operations in electronic manufacturing areas in order to meet predetermined cleanliness and frequency requirements. This may involve general floor care of standard and ESD flooring, floor refinishing and carpet cleaning, preventative maintenance of machines and tools, and general custodial duties. Industrial cleaning chemicals and equipment will be used in daily operations. Non-custodial related general maintenance activities may also be required.



Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • 2 years experience in custodial, janitorial or general maintenance positions
  • Demonstrate an aptitude to inspect cleanliness conditions, determine needs, and preform appropriate processes
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently while meeting predetermined requirements
  • Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and chemicals
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Lift 50 lbs.
  • General computer skills


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Experience working in electronic manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in ESD sensitive areas
  • Experience working in FOD sensitive areas
  • Experiences working in cleanrooms


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $38060 - $60940

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
