Applied Industrial Technologies LP is an extensive network of industrial distribution facilities located throughout Canada. We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Field Service Manager at our Edmonton, AB location
Roles and Responsibilities:
Conduct customer site visits providing supervision of workers, assisting Sales scoping jobs to estimate time and resources required to complete scope of work
Attend customer meetings as requested by sales or field foreman
Communication with customers on progress, delays, problems of jobs
Supervision of Service Admin and hydraulic technicians
Establishes, plans, schedules, and administers the policies and goals for Field Technician teams
Provides service, repair and fabrication to all divisions of Applied Industrial Technologies as requested and where possible.
Ensure forms are filled out as needed: FLRAs, LEMs, Inspections, F-78 summary, F-73 Cylinders, flush forms, pressure test forms etc .
Scheduling meetings for Project work and review of JSAs with crew
Oversees compliance with WCB and OHS and works within their guidelines.
Provide direct customer contact information to all divisions appropriate branch.
Promote Field capabilities to all branches within Applied.
Work amicably with other departments or divisions on matters of mutual concern and responsibilities.
Write and deliver presentations and prepare reports as necessary.
Maintain accurate, complete and timely records.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Hire, train and develop employees within your direct report.
Communicate company goals and company results to direct reports..
Conduct performance reviews on each of your direct reports at least once per calendar year. This is the minimum requirement.
Additional duties as assigned or directed.
Education and Experience:
5 or more years of leadership experience within mechanical, fluid power, and/ or related industries
Education in trades
Demonstrated decision making and leadership abilities
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Ability to work independently to take responsibility for day-to-day tasks and drive productivity
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise personnel.
Self motivated and ability to work independently.
Well organized with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
