Description

As a Field Service Coordinator at Applied Industrial Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our field service team. You will be responsible for coordinating schedules, managing job assignments, overseeing equipment logistics, and supporting field service technicians. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail to ensure the highest level of service for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule field service jobs to ensure timely and efficient completion.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between clients, field service technicians, and internal teams.
  • Work closely with the Shop Manager to oversee the performance and development of field service technicians, including managing a dotted-line relationship with technicians.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are available and properly maintained for service jobs.
  • Review job requirements, provide detailed instructions, and ensure technicians have the necessary resources to execute tasks effectively.
  • Maintain up-to-date job status records, tracking project progress, service completions, and technician performance.
  • Monitor the daily schedules of field service technicians and adjust as necessary to handle emergencies or reschedules.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including outside sales and inventory management, to ensure the timely availability of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and quality of service.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction and a positive experience.
  • Assist in training new and current technicians, providing guidance on company protocols and field operations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a field service coordination or similar role, preferably in industrial or technical fields.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technicians, customers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Advanced knowledge of industrial equipment and field service operations is a plus.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Conveyor Services coordination or similar role in a technical, industrial, or manufacturing environment is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position requires travel to customer sites.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to accommodate service requirements.
