AMD's Supply Chain Transformation (SCT) team is modernizing how we plan and execute global transportation. We are seeking a hands-on TMS Solution Architect to lead the design and rollout of a global Transportation Management System (TMS) across our multi-plant, multi-carrier, multi-mode logistics network. This individual will be the connective tissue between Global Logistics (GL) business teams and IT — translating logistics business processes into a scalable solution design, owning the architecture end to end, and leading the organizational change required to adopt it.

Working across our SAP S/4HANA backbone, EDI and carrier integrations, and emerging control-tower, RFID, and AI/automation initiatives, you will deliver measurable improvements in transportation cost, speed, visibility, and resilience.

• Business process definition — partner with Global Logistics (GL) and IT to define, document, and standardize transportation business processes across regions, plants, and shipment modes.
• Solution design & architecture — own the end-to-end TMS solution design, including order-to-delivery flows, freight order management, carrier selection and rate shopping, routing and route determination, freight settlement, and track-and-trace.
• End-to-end delivery — lead blueprint/fit-gap, configuration oversight, integration design, testing, cutover, and hypercare for the TMS rollout.
• Systems integration — design and govern integrations between the TMS and SAP S/4HANA ,EDI carrier connections, control-tower and visibility platforms, and external logistics partners.
• Carrier & multi-mode enablement — drive carrier onboarding and enablement across ocean, air, parcel, and ground (LTL/FTL) for a large, global carrier base.
• Change management — lead stakeholder alignment, process adoption, training, and communications so the solution lands with the business, not just IT.
• Vendor & SI management — partner with software vendors and system integrators; review SOWs, guide delivery teams, and hold them to architecture and quality standards.
• Standards & governance — establish solution standards, data governance, and reusable design patterns to scale the platform across AMD's network. Recommend process improvements and industry best practices
• Roadmap contribution — support the broader SCT roadmap, including EDI stabilization, RFID, and AI-driven automation initiatives.

• Proven, hands-on experience rolling out a TMS solution end to end — from design through go-live and stabilization — not solely supporting an existing system.
• Direct experience implementing TMS in a dynamic, global multinational with many manufacturing or distribution plants, a large carrier base, and multi-mode transportation (ocean, air, parcel, ground).
• Strong transportation and logistics business-process expertise: freight management, carrier management, rate and route optimization, freight audit and pay, and delivery performance.
• Demonstrated solution-architecture capability across the full path: requirements → solution design → integration design → delivery.
• Track record of leading change management and driving cross-functional adoption across both business and IT.
• Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence without authority across regions and functions.
• Experience integrating transportation systems with SAP ERP and EDI/carrier networks.
• Significant experience in SAP Transportation Management with minimum of  3 to 4 end to end TM implementations.
• Good understanding of SAP supply chain processes
• SAP TMS preferred — SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) implementation experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding about Inbound and Outbound shipments (Domestic and International), Transportation Load Builder (FTL, LTL), different modes of transports, and Freight Settlement.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA logistics (SD / LE / MM) and embedded or decentralized TM.
• Exposure to leading TMS and control-tower platforms (e.g., Blue Yonder) and logistics visibility solutions.
• Familiarity with semiconductor, high-tech, or high-volume electronics supply chains.
• EDI, API, IDoc, and middleware integration experience across carrier networks.
• Experience with parcel, international ocean and air freight, and customs/brokerage, duties, and taxes considerations.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree a plus. Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
