Key Responsibilities

• Own laptop system design architecture and technical direction across CRB and ODM platforms.
• Lead deep technical engagement with ODM partners to co-develop reference systems aligned with AMD platform requirements.
• Act as the primary technical interface between ODM engineering teams and AMD internal functional teams.
• Drive cross-team technical discussions, issue triage, and debug closure for ODM ORB/ORS programs.
• Provide architecture guidance for key laptop components, including panel, memory, storage, and interface subsystems.
• Own cross-domain requirement definition and system-level trade-off decisions for performance, thermals, cost, and schedule.
• Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation plans across ODM and AMD teams.
• Build reusable architecture guidelines and best practices to support sustainable scaling of laptop programs.
• Define SI readiness criteria, integration milestones, and exit gates for each development phase.
• Lead SI planning and sign-off with AMD functional teams
• Define and maintain product/platform positioning versus competitive systems, including SKU and feature-set recommendations.
• Communicate program status, risks, and decision records to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in notebook/laptop system design or platform architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience in notebook platform architecture, board-level integration, and cross-functional system bring-up.
• Proven experience engaging directly with ODM/OEM engineering teams to drive technical alignment and execution.
• Solid understanding of system-level design trade-offs across silicon, firmware, BIOS, thermal, and mechanical constraints.
• Experience in root cause debug and issue closure for complex platform problems.
• Hands-on signal integration (SI) experience, SI test planning, and phase-gate sign-off.
• Product management skills: requirements definition, prioritization, stakeholder alignment, and product/platform roadmap execution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional technical discussions.
