The Role:

AMD seeks a Business Analyst for the Memory Business Team, which manages technical commodities. This role supports memory analytics, planning, and forecast requirements across Graphics, Client, Server, and Semi Custom business units, collaborating with engineering, product management, finance, operations, quality, and sales teams.

 

The Person:

The ideal candidate will excel in meeting tight deadlines, think on their feet and be a self starter . Efficiently analyze large datasets and present findings. Clear communicator, attentive listener, Proactive and self-motivated. The candidate will also have a strong business acumen.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee demand planning, reporting accuracy, scheduling, and weekly allocation in alignment with Graphics, CPU, Server, and Semi Custom requirements, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Business Unit teams, Finance, Sales, Product Managers, and Global Operations to develop comprehensive business plans that achieve financial objectives, balance product timelines and transitions, and address supply chain limitations as well as customer requirements.
  • Refresh, consolidate, and validate routine market and business reports to maintain high standards of reporting accuracy.
  • Develop and continually refine forecast models for revenue projections, supply vs demand sufficiency, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly memory updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Track and record market developments, including pricing, wafer starts, demand driver, process node utilization, trends, dynamics, and other relevant business insights.
  • Guide the consolidation of complex, multi-variable data into impactful analysis, including insightful graphics, charts, and tables.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to maximize adoption of internal sales, analytics, and AI tools, including Power BI, Snowflake, Co-Pilot, Model N, data cubes, and Salesforce.
  • Proactively identify and resolve unforeseen issues and challenges.
  • Support ad-hoc memory and business analytics requests, report generation, and projects.

 

Preferred Skillset:

  • Strong analytical skills; advanced Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Detail-oriented and accountable
  • Skilled in building business and market analytics models
  • Manage key NPI memory projects across multiple BUs
  • Drive forecasting and work with complex data sources
  • Perform concurrent tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, Snowflake, JIRA, Ariba, Salesforce, Model N, VBA, Access and other business analytics or AI tools
  • Excellent critical thinking for planning, risk management, and market analysis
  • Cost modeling, supply analysis and market trends,

 

 

Academic Credentials:

  • Bachelor's degree with concentration in Analytics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or Computer Science
