JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Folsom, CA
- Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time (40 hours a week), in an onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
- Duration: May 27,2025 to August 8, 2025 or June 23, 2025 to September 12, 2025
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Excited about exploring leading technology CPU silicon validation? Do you enjoy problem-solving unique implementation and challenges? Then we have the right role for you.
We are seeking a highly motivated CPU intern/co-op to join our team. You will be responsible for all aspects of post-silicon validation on next generation server processors, including test content development, volume validation and silicon debug. In this role –
- You will work with dedicated Architects and read documentation to understand and learn features to be validated
- You will build content to complete tasks on silicon platforms
- You will perform debug of compilation failures and execution test runs on silicon platforms thereby resolving the issues
- Your additional responsibilities may include efficient implementation of script/tool for Triage Automation
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- You are currently pursuing a Master's degree majoring in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering or a related field
- If you have any of the following skills and are enthusiastic about this role, we strongly encourage you to apply –
- Proficient with scripting tools like Perl or Python
- Advanced proficiency with UNIX environment, compiling with GCC and debugging programs with debugger
- Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows environments
- Knowledge of debug Verilog/System Verilog RTL
- General tools experience with MS Office Suite and Visio
- Advanced proficiency in a high-level programming language like C/C++ or Java a plus
- Proficiency in Computer Architecture will be considered an asset
