THE ROLE:
Be part of a high-performance global logistics team that handles freight movement across our multiple sites and shipment to our global end customers. The team is part of AMD's supply chain, and we encompass support including, but not limited to freight spends compilation, tariffs record, and cost analysis. We work closely with other Supply Chain stakeholders and our Finance team for data review and process improvement. This role compiles and does in-depth analysis of freight spend & other expenses, along with identifying discrepancies, red flags and cost savings opportunity then following up with recommendation to get operations buy-in.
THE PERSON:
The candidate must have strong analytical skills, be good with numbers, meticulous and with a keen eye for detail to process vast amounts of data within a brief time. Ability to build effective work relationships and engage stakeholders based in different countries to get the required data then consolidate in a sole source for further analysis. Analyze freight spending to identify areas of cost savings, recommend effective shipping routes/service providers, and raise red flags as needed. Freight knowledge, which includes incoterms, shipment process, shipment cost component, service levels, etc. is required. Exceptional time and resource management skills required to meet tight deadlines or urgent projects assigned. A proactive person with positive can-do mentality who can streamline or standardize processes then work towards automation to transform existing manual processes. Independent contributor but is also able to work well in a team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze supply-demand matching, identify root cause / shortages and drive to close the gap.
- Accountable to meet production supply target on OPN level mix.
- OSATs/CMs engagement to drive the throughput and efficiency.
- Manage all the planning parameter and collaborate with ENG/IE to close the gap and improve the supply.
- Track and monitor supply position including recommendations for risk mitigation.
- Supply planning upside analysis including NPI/ mass production involving Capacity/HW planning, planning parameters, material , BOM, test flow.
- Daily tracking and managing WIP movement, cycle time and hold/aged materials disposition.
- Lead and trigger influencing communication, coordinate and drive the actions with cross function teams to solve excursions and recover the supply.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Clearly communicate verbally and written in English, Chinese will be beneficial.
- 3-6 years' experience in Board level (or Computer) manufacturing/product planning & control under supply chain organization.
- Familiarity with Agile Bill of Materials interpretation and analysis, experienced on BOM changes management with manufacture.
- Experience in outsourcing/OSAT/CMs management. NPI experience on samples planning/delivery and volume bring up with factories.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree or above in business/material management or industry engineering.
