We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead customer co-development engagements in key industry verticals such as robotics and life sciences. This role is pivotal in driving collaborative projects that leverage cutting-edge AI technology to solve complex problems. This person will be responsible for building the best practices in handling customer engagements for our PMO.
Main responsibilities
- Manage co-development engagements with customers in different vertical software engagements
- Define and track expectations and objectives, ensuring work is delivered within scope and maximizing value
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between internal and external stakeholders
- Build the PMO for customer engagements, including defining ways of working
- Set up steering mechanisms, reporting systems and practices to track progress
Collaboration with others
- This role belongs to the Operations team in AMD Silo AI's R&D Models department and will report to Sonja Rajala
- This role will collaborate closely with our internal engineering teams as well as the program managers for our publicly funded grant projects
Main goals for first 6 months
- Complete onboarding and become familiar with internal tools and processes
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers
- Take ownership of at least two co-development engagements
- Deliver early project milestones on time and with high quality
- Contribute to the team's innovation goals and share learnings
- Have a first draft ready of our internal ways of working for customer engagements
Ideal candidate profile
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven track record in managing customer projects in a tech environment
- Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and monitoring
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments and pivot as priorities shift
- Ability to manage expectations and build trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Bonus:
- Familiarity with AI technologies or digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with public grants as the the work will be partly linked to them
