THE ROLE: 

We are looking for an adaptive, self-motivative PMTS Hardware Development Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market.

THE PERSON: 

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/timezones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Block/Chip level DFT implementation, including SCAN, MBIST, DV, RTL integration, STA, etc.
• MBIST chip level plan, RTL insertion, verification and pattern generation.
• Verify block/chip level DFX design and features.
• Develop high coverage and cost effective test patterns.
• Co-work with FEnd and PD for synthesis optimization and smooth timing signoff.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• Familiar with Linux Environment (including shell scripting and linux gnu tools)
• Experience with design for verification (assertion based design strategies, code coverage, functional coverage, test plan, gate-level simulation, back-annotation etc.)
• Should be versatile in any one of the high level verification flow such as SV,VMM,VERA,OVM etc as well as knowledge of industry standard tools for verification
• Should have excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
• Strong problem solving skills
   

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering.
