THE ROLE:
AMD's Legal Department is seeking a highly motivated Marketing Paralegal to partner with our dynamic Marketing teams. In this role, you will support the legal review process for marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional materials to ensure compliance while enabling creative, impactful marketing initiatives. You will gain exposure to a wide range of projects—from digital campaigns and sponsorships to major events like trade shows and product launches—working alongside attorneys and business partners across the company. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct pre-publication reviews of marketing, advertising, PR content, and packaging for compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
Support legal review of sponsorships, contests, sweepstakes, user-generated content, and marketing production projects.
Partner with attorneys to counsel and train marketing teams on advertising law compliance, including topics such as claim substantiation, testimonials/endorsements, AI in marketing, and disclosure requirements.
Provide occasional on-site legal support for key events, including trade shows, product launches, Analyst Days, and sales conferences.
Contribute to process improvements, policy development, and other special projects within the legal function as assigned.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Prior experience as a paralegal or legal assistant supporting marketing, advertising, or intellectual property matters.
Familiarity with advertising law, promotions, sweepstakes/contests, endorsements, and disclosure regulations.
Experience working in-house at a technology company or in a fast-paced corporate legal environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with cross-functional partners.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Marketing, Legal Studies, or related field.
Paralegal certification or equivalent training desired.
