THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience in CI/CD and enterprise solution architecture, a proven track record of delivering scalable, secure, and maintainable CI solutions with focus on GitHub Actions and Jenkins, and is capable of driving standardization and modernization across multiple product lines and engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Own the enterprise CI/CD architecture across Jenkins and GitHub Actions, defining patterns, standards, and reference implementations.
  • Design scalable, resilient, and secure CI platforms using:
    • Jenkins (controller/agent architecture, shared libraries, plugins)
    • GitHub Actions (reusable workflows, composite actions, self-hosted runners)
  • Define and standardize pipeline patterns (build, test, artifact management, scanning, deploy) for a variety of technologies and deployment targets (e.g., Kubernetes-based services).
  • Propose and evaluate new tools and platforms, and drive adoption where there is clear value.
  • Create and maintain a CI/CD roadmap that aligns with engineering and product priorities.
  • Mentor and upskill other engineers (Dev, QA, DevOps) on CI patterns, tools, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements and engineering needs into robust CI/CD solutions.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Deep understanding of Jenkins core architecture, controllers, agents, executors, high-availability and scaling strategies.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Jenkins Pipeline (Declarative & Scripted) in Groovy.
  • GitHub & GitHub Actions - strong experience designing and implementing GitHub Actions workflows, including reusable workflows and composite actions.
  • GitHub administration exposure (teams, permissions, branch protection, environments).
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in artifact Management (Artifactory), Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code concepts. Deep understanding of containers, Docker image builds, and image scanning.
  • Strong proficiency in programming and scripting languages, such as Python, Groovy, TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Ability to design end-to-end CI/CD architectures for complex systems.
  • Experience with:
    • Multi-tenant CI platforms (many teams and projects).
    • Multi-branch and trunk-based development strategies.
    • Blue/green, canary, or progressive delivery patterns.
    • Experience designing for scalability, reliability, security, and cost-efficiency.
