THE ROLE:
The Global Sales Operations Manager – Component Channel is a high-visibility, cross-functional role within AMD's Sales organization based in Austin, TX. This position plays a critical role in supporting the global Component Channel business by driving planning, forecasting, analytics, and operational execution across regions and stakeholders.
This role partners closely with Global Channel Sales leadership, Finance, Business Units, and regional operations teams to deliver actionable insights, improve forecasting accuracy, and drive operational rigor. Responsibilities include sales planning and analysis, P&L support, forecasting and quarterly close execution, executive reporting, and leading process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will also help modernize operational workflows by leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making across the Component Channel business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Sales Operations Support
- Serve as the Global Sales Operations partner supporting the Component Channel organization
- Collaborate with Global Channel Sales leadership to support business planning and execution
- Provide operational support for revenue, margin, and share performance tracking
Forecasting, Planning & Analytics
- Accurately forecast sales performance and provide variance analysis and insights
- Perform sales analysis to support revenue, margin, and share decision-making
- Analyze forecast changes and identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Support quarterly planning cycles and ongoing business reviews
Executive Reporting & Business Insights
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations and reporting
- Provide actionable insights based on performance trends and data analysis
- Support quarterly close and consolidation activities related to sales performance
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Sales, Finance, Business Units, Legal, and Regional Operations teams
- Support alignment across global stakeholders and planning processes
- Assist with strategic initiatives and ad-hoc analysis as required
Process Improvement & AI-Enabled Operations
- Drive continuous improvements in sales operations processes and execution
- Partner with systems teams to enhance dashboards, reporting, and automation
- Leverage advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting accuracy and operational efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual reporting efforts
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in Sales Operations, Sales Planning & Analysis, Business Operations, Strategy, or Finance
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into business insights
- Advanced sales modeling and forecasting experience
- Experience working in global, cross-functional organizations
- Advanced technical skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and dashboarding tools
- Experience with Salesforce, Power BI, or similar analytics platforms preferred
- Experience using automation, analytics, or AI-driven tools to improve reporting, forecasting, or operational efficiency is a plus
- Strong communication and executive presentation skills
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
