THE ROLE
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in leading financial planning and analysis activities for the Strategic Silicon Solutions (S3) engineering team, as well as managing accounting and close processes for the S3 finance team. This position partners closely with engineering leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial support that enables effective business planning and operational execution. The role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
THE PERSONThe ideal candidate is a self-starter with a results-driven approach, a high sense of teamwork, and a positive outlook. This individual should be comfortable speaking up, making recommendations, and navigating a fast-paced environment. A CPA designation is required, along with a combination of external audit experience in a large public accounting firm and industry experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead the annual budget and quarterly financial forecast process for operating expenses, headcount, capital, and program revenue.
• Provide direct financial support to S3 engineering leadership.
• Prepare and present financial and operational results, supporting external reporting requirements.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic business initiatives that drive productivity and financial improvements.
• Collaborate with business teams to influence the development of future business arrangements, ensuring acceptable financial terms and conditions.
• Manage program planning and accounting, contract reviews, internal and external audit engagements, SOX compliance, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement effective systems and procedures for financial reporting.
• Work closely with corporate accounting to address critical accounting matters, including drafting accounting memos.
• Consolidate operating expense reporting for the broader Computing and Graphics (CG) group.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory policies, procedures, and security standards in compliance with company, legal, and regulatory requirements.
• Finance and/or accounting professional with experience in a multinational, high-tech environment.
• Public accounting experience preferred, with expertise in percentage-of-completion or over-time revenue recognition principles.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Proactive and adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively across all levels of an organization.
• Strong communication skills and experience working with international teams.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required.
