THE ROLE:

We are seeking a highly experienced Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) to lead customer-facing quality activities and drive cross-functional resolution of complex product and field issues. This role serves as the primary technical interface between customers and internal teams, ensuring product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction across the full product lifecycle.

 

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in root cause analysis, customer communication, and quality system implementation, while influencing design, manufacturing, and supplier processes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the main point of contact for customer quality issues, escalations, audits, and scorecards.
  • Manage customer communications for nonconformances, containment, interim actions and corrective plan.
  • Own end-to-end compliant process: intake, triage, containment, root cause analysis, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Lead structured problem-solving (8D), using 5-Why, Ishikawa, Pareto and DOE.
  • Monitor key metrics (DPPM, AFR, LRR, MFR) and drive improvement plans.
  • Partner with SQE, MQE and engineering team for quality excursion investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Lead or support Kaizen events focusing on defect reduction, early defect discovery, and improve customer satisfaction.

 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience supporting hyperscale/cloud customers or ODM/OEM ecosystem
  • Strong expertise in quality methodologies: 8D, FMEA, CAPA, Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of semiconductor, server, or system-level products
  • Experience in Server platform design, and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with Reliability testing (HTOL, stress testing, system validation)

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Quality and manufacturing related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in Customer Quality / Supplier Quality / Reliability Engineering
