THE ROLE:
In this role within the AECG ASIC Engineering Team, the candidate will leverage their strong understanding of the general silicon engineering process. The role is to function as a Program Manager for all operational processes. This dynamic role will require a balance of technical and management aptitude along with soft skills. Must possess ability to coordinate and lead activities, influence process changes within peer teams, and have strong analytical skills. Out of box critical thinking and adeptness in simplifying efficiency is a must. Data driven mindset is needed.
THE PERSON:
You are a strong communicator who understands both high-level strategies and detailed tactical matters. Results oriented, you are resourceful and can work effectively to influence a variety of stakeholders. You demonstrate a strong knowledge of program management and experience with complex projects.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project planning, requirements definition, managing deliverables, tracking and reporting for key process initiatives.
- Partner with BD to align engineering responses and contractual provisions with customer expectations.
- Scoping new projects and developing budgets.
- Draft and manage SOWs that articulate project objectives, scope, deliverables, timelines, milestones, acceptance criteria, and payment terms.
- Develop, monitor, and manage operational budgets. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
- Act as the primary interface between the operations and finance departments, facilitating clear communication and collaboration on financial planning and reporting.
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to forecast staffing needs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budget constraints.
- Drive team compliance to PMO processes, standards, and metrics.
- Initiate enhancements to existing processes and methods to improve operational efficiencies while achieving alignment from key stakeholders.
- Working effectively with stakeholders outside of the AECG ASIC organization as well as external vendors to ensure deliverables are provided that meet or exceed AECG ASIC requirements.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on headcount metrics, budget status, and financial forecasts to senior management.
- Analyze and track detailed project tasks and performance against the plan of record to identify any early issues that are impacting the project plan and identify options for recovering delays to maintain schedule.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Familiar with product development with hardware platforms and related software ecosystem.
- Proven Program Management/Operations experience in a dynamic and competitive industry, particularly within Silicon design-based organizations.
- Detail-oriented, self-driven with a strong sense of pride and ownership.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to handle all levels of interaction, including executive level.
- Ability to build relationships and work effectively as a self-starter and as part of a team.
- Well-organized, technically oriented, and a self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate the activities of geographically distributed technical teams.
- Microsoft Excel proficiency, including pivot and look up tables.
- Knowledge of and use of different project management tools such as Microsoft Project or similar.
- Ability to align and build consensus among stakeholders working towards a final goal.
- Energized by working in a fast-paced matrixed technical organization and multi-site environment.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Program Management certification a plus.
- MBA and Accounting experience is a plus.
