AMS / IC Layout Lead
THE ROLE:
The focus of this role is to plan, build, and execute the layout in advanced CMOS technologies, including floorplan, placement, routing, DRC, LVS, EMIR Etc, resulting in no bugs in the final design.
THE PERSON:
You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with other engineers located in different sites/time-zones. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As an IC Layout Lead - you will work with an exceptionally talented, passionate core team based in India, lead the team to design IC layout, collaborating with peer teams of globally located sites of AMD to meet scheduled milestones in a multiple projects-based environment.
- Candidate shall be basically an individual contributor with leadership skills and be able to manage timelines effectively and quality oriented. Good layout electrical parameter knowledge along with quick learning capabilities.
- Expected to provide technical guidance to junior engineers
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ yrs of experience in AMS Layout with minimum 3+ yrs in a lead role
- Should have worked on 16nm/14nm/10nm/7nm/3nm/2nmFF process nodes.
- Should have worked on various analog mixed signal blocks such as PLL, Bandgap, ADC, DAC, SERDES, IO etc., together with full-chip integration of a few devices
- Perform physical design implementation, including floor planning, power grid design, P&R, physical verification (DRC/LVS/Antenna), EMIR, DFM Closure on DDR/IO Blocks, Amplifiers, Serdes elements.
- Sound knowledge of pads arrangements and ESD/Latch-up requirements
- Knowledge of scripting languages like SKILL, PERL, TCL etc. is desirable
- Should be well versed with tools such as Virtuoso/XL/GXL/EXL, IC23.1, Calibre etc.
- Good command over EMIR tools like Totem, Redhawk etc.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering
