About the Role

Are you a forward-thinking strategist with a passion for supply chain efficiency and capital project success? We are currently seeking a results-driven Senior Capital Expeditor to join our Procurement team located at our Bindjareb office in Pinjarra and support the business in executing timely delivery of equipment and materials across our regional capital projects.

Reporting to our Procurement & Contracts Manager – Major Capital, you will play a crucial role in aligning contract requirements with project schedules and driving supplier performance, implementing continuous improvement strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to coordinate project demands, needs and requirements.

Your key activities and contributions will be:

  • Working closely with Project Managers at all sites to develop expediting plans and execute accordingly.

  • Managing expediting processes including automated and manual systems to ensure expediting of orders is done according to agreed procurement plan and meeting inspection levels for each package.

  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for supplier performance improvement, including contract management improvements to account for market changes.

  • Providing KPIs insights on the expediting process through data collection and analysis, and other analytical work including benchmarking and enhance processes, systems and reporting capabilities.

  • Support the resolution of commercial issues associated with supplier performance, cost recovery for quality problems, rework and ensure resolution of procurement issues to root cause.

What you can bring to the role

  • Proven industry experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics or related field with a background in supplier management on large-scale capital projects.

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract terms and technical specifications experienced in working with suppliers and vendors to meet project requirements.

  • Skills in stakeholder engagement across multiple teams with an ability to handle high-pressure environment and resolve delivery challenges.

  • An analytical approach with effective communication and negotiation skills to drive supplier performance.

Additional information

  • The role will be based at our Bindjareb office and will attend site as required whilst having the opportunity to utilise our work from home arrangements.
