Job Description:

Education:

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required. 

Work Experiences:

  • 2+  years of related experience required
  • Experience working in a retail environment preferred

  • Experience with Workday Learning or other learning management systems (LMS) preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support L+D programs

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a representative of Academy Sports + Outdoors and the Learning + Development team in all internal and external interactions.
  • Manage learning-related reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support business insights, compliance tracking, and executive visibility.
  • Partner with Human Resources, Legal, Accounting, Finance, and other departments to coordinate L&D-related documentation, contracts, and communications.
  • Support the administration and optimization of Workday Learning, ensuring accurate content assignment, data integrity, and learner experience.
  • Coordinate and track compliance training programs, including annual compliance modules and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety training, with a focus on reporting and audit-readiness.
  • Lead the tracking, submission, and reconciliation of L+D invoices, manage vendor setup, and maintain budget-related documentation.
  • Oversee logistics for L+D programs and events, including communications, scheduling, materials preparation, shipping, and venue coordination (onsite and remote).
  • Maintain a strong customer service orientation and help resolve learner or internal partner issues with professionalism and urgency.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying process efficiencies and innovative solutions that support learning delivery and operational excellence.

Physical Requirements & Attendance

  • Embraces flexible scheduling as needed to support business (early morning, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior
