Job Description Details

As the Creative Program Manager I, you will manage the strategic development and the daily tactical execution of a variety of creative programs. This role is within Zulily's Creative team and will help us develop the way we scale our team and creative across multiple channels and platforms. You will report to the Senior Campaign Manager and work with Marketing, Merchants, and Creative leads, on medium and large-scale creative projects, across a variety of channels and platforms. It is your responsibility to ensure delivery of excellent work on time and on brief while helping the team meet expectations. Your success means that your creative team will have the information and time to focus and deliver excellence.

Success in this role is someone who:

  • Experience implementing and structuring new processes at scale within creative teams
  • Skills in industry standard Project Management software, workflows and tools
  • People leader experience including delegating tasks and providing mentorship
  • An eye for good design, direction, photography and other creative skills

Key Responsibilities

40% Daily Creative Intake Requests & Resource Planning

  • Manage multiple active and upcoming projects by defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and deliverables
  • Track progress, understand requirements, and communicate status to project partners
  • Reviewing and assigning daily creative intake requests, setting expectations with design and business partner teams to handle prioritization for all work that come through
  • Work with stakeholders and creative teams to deliver high quality and volume assets for global campaigns
  • Managing team workload balance and resource allocation
  • Deep dive into project requirements gaining understanding of needs for projects that may at times be ambiguous
  • Help create strategic programs that improve the team's processes, infrastructure and workflows

50% Creative Campaign Management & Cross Functional Partnership

  • Creative Campaign Ownership Managing multiple cross-functional projects
  • Communicate progress and reports on our programs and initiatives to stakeholders
  • Own process framework for creative elements within larger campaigns
  • Define, measure, and analyze the metrics that inform the success of our programs and initiatives; track progress, understand requirements, and communicate status to project partners
  • Manage multiple active and upcoming projects by defining scope, timelines, milestones, resource needs, budgets, and deliverables

10% Efficiencies, Training, and Other Projects as Needed

  • Training and education on Creative systems
  • Continually work to optimize process and workflow for a high functioning studio and creative organization and testing new workflows and tools
  • Provide your direct reports with ongoing guidance

Key Qualifications

  • A strong technical aptitude with an ability to understand program or project technical requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience, preferably within e-commerce
  • Strong business acumen with exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Program Management skills: Adept at prioritizing and planning multi-stakeholder initiatives, providing direction when needed and removing obstacles to get work done
  • Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate at all organizational levels
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to lead, facilitate, and present to large groups and senior leadership level
  • Self-starter, able to work in an environment where at times it may be ambiguous
  • Entrepreneurial mindset - Able to uncover opportunity areas, put together a plan, and then go make it happen
