Job Description Details

The Social Media Specialist role is responsible for engaging our core customer, mom, through Zulily's organic social properties and growing our social media presence. The Social Media Specialist will report to the Social Media Manager, and will be responsible for partnering to plan and execute against the

playbook for Zulily across all owned channels; Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube, and optimizing performance to engagement and customer value KPIs. The successful candidate will have a strong and intimate knowledge of the current social media landscape and have a passion for content

development, experimenting, interacting with our mom fan base, and actualizing brand strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in building and executing engagement strategies for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest (Understanding of Paid Social/Business Manager/Boosting a plus)

• Assist in developing content strategies for Brand, Merch, and PR initiatives, ensuring content is on-brand and consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice

• Work with manager and team members to plan monthly social calendar needs

• Build evergreen multi-channel content in Canva (Reels, Stories, Feed)

• Identify/Report on trends from audience behavior as observed in our channels

• Manage campaign performance reporting and metrics to drive impactful insights and findings on all social media marketing efforts, ensuring key social metrics are met along with the partner objectives

• Help develop and maintain an operational playbook to drive engagement and increase customer acquisition through testing new offerings, market opportunities, and objectives

• Support the team through market research and industry benchmarking, competitive benchmarking to improve program strategy a

• Partner with Influencer/Affiliate Leads to source influencers and content creators and build go-to-market plans for influencer programs

• Provide support in executing micro-influencer brand campaigns, including facilitating product gifting and content planning

Who You Are

• Bachelor's in marketing, communications, or related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience

• 2-4 years in social media or related field

• Demonstrated knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and Pinterest; algorithm understanding, content and channel best practices, consumer behavior

• Social media community management experience, required with knowledge of analytics, tracking and social media monitoring tools

• Understanding of design and detail; can articulate creative needs and provide impactful inputs on design

• Prior experience in tools like Big Query, Facebook Ads Manager, Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Canva, Excel, Wrike, Air Table, Brandwatch, etc. a plus

• Analytical, critical thinker and self-starter who can lead a project from start to finish

• Awareness of emerging technology, advances in digital media, and the latest social media trends and uses findings in daily approach

• Comfortable with fast paced working environments and tight deadlines, required

• Excellent writing, communications, and interpersonal skills
