Department Overview

Finance Control Organization (FCO) is accountable for assessing and ensuring effective management of associated risks for Enterprise Finance. FCO team is seeking a Risk Programs Manager for the implementation of risk programs and assurance activities to ensure the effectiveness of controls.

About the Role

You will work as part of the Finance Control Global Delivery Activities team to support Finance Control Organization (FCO) Risk Programs. You will interact closely with multiple business partners.


  • The role will be responsible for building the team which will have their core responsibilities around implementing the requirements of the Risk Management Framework.
  • The role requires development and maintenance of strong relationships across Independent Risk, applicable business units, and Wells Fargo Audit Services (WFAS).

  • Partner and work closely with the Risk Program Manager to implement risk programs which includes but not limited to Information Risk Management, Business Continuity, Records Management, Third Party Risk Management, and Regulatory Control.

  • Validate the design & operating effectiveness of controls, Risk Identification & Measurement, Issues Management & Policy Governance

  • Develop and maintain specific procedures, framework, tools and other mechanisms as needed

  • Support management and coordination of assurance activities related to business controls

  • Partner with other team members to understand issues, corrective actions, root cause and validate the actions taken for remediation

  • Create or update procedure documentation based on changing business needs, new compliance requirements, or identified areas of new efficiency/improvements

  • Develop and implement procedures, plan and manage processes to support business goals, resolve escalated issues, Identify and escalate opportunities including risks for review.

  • Creates policies and procedures to ensure the unit's products and services meet all applicable policies and regulations.

  • Proactively and continuously, promote engagement of all team members to integrate the risk programs into daily activities and operations.

  • Adaptable to a dynamic and quickly changing, fast placed work environment where priorities or focus may need to shift frequently.

  • Ability to focus on the details of an issue or task while keeping the big picture in mind.

Market Skills and Certifications

  • 14+ years of overall experience in BFSI, preferably in Shared Services / BPO Risk and Compliance functions.

  • 8+ years should be in risk management roles, implementing and/or executing risk related policy requirements & procedures.

  • Should be deft in assessing risk & implementing controls in the following areas, but not limited to: BCP, Privacy, Records Management, Information Risk Management, and Third Party Risk Management.

  • 4+ years of management experience

  • Demonstrated success in building and managing a team

  • Has a proven track record implementing solutions or problem solving

  • Demonstrates a keen eye for detail and provides constructive feedback

  • Utilizes subject matter expertise in resolving process related queries

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to concisely summarize requests to stakeholders

  • Attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills

  • Strategic thinking and ability to see the big picture but able to deal with details

  • Takes initiative to identify process improvements, including developing a proposed action plan

  • Ability to govern adherence to Company policies and procedures

  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and achieve results

  • Takes initiative to gets things done on their own; ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Candidates must be open to working shifts & rotating schedules depending on the business need.
