Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supervising Team Members performing Manufacturing and Logistics duties in our Reno,NV production facility. The Production Supervisor upholds plant policies and procedures and is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives as described by the Plant Manager. Applicants must be available to work day shift or night shift (5:00 am-5:30 pm or 5:00 pm -5:30 am on a weekly alternating 36/48 hour schedule.

Responsibilities:

§ Responsible for shift and area duties which include: scheduling, assigning team members

work, team member training, vacation planning, breaks, overtime assignment, planning replacement for

absent Team Members

§ Coordinate production startups, shutdowns and changeovers

§ Responsible for ensuring shift production goals are met

§ Operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)

§ Schedule and conduct shift meetings

§ Responsible for quality control, adjust as necessary during shift to produce product within specification

§ Ensure a clean and safe work area

§ Complete all shift reports

§ Provide leadership, direction and seek to empower Team Members

§ Coach and counsel Team Members, including providing corrective action

§ Make decisions regarding hiring and terminating Team Members.

§ Ensuring all Team Members follow Company Health & Safety standards as well as requirements of

OSHA

§ Interpret and ensure self and Team Members are in compliance with the company's departmental

policies and procedures

§ Respond and attempt to resolve Health & Safety issues as they arise on the shop floor and provide

direction to Team Members

§ Observe and report any unsafe conditions whether machinery or other shop conditions by conducting

daily inspections

§ Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Requirements:

§ Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent

§ Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role preferably as a Supervisor and or Team Leader in a large

manufacturing environment

§ Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures and high volume production machinery and

systems

§ Proven experience related to lean principles and practices

§ Inventory, forklift driving, OSHA courses or training

§ Driven and energetic with a strong technical background and understanding of lean manufacturing

and continuous improvement principles

§ Excellent oral and written communication skills

§ Strong dedication to team member morale, customer service, safety, quality and delivery

§ Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadlines

§ Superior organizational and problem-solving skills
