A postdoctoral position in the Nanothermal Bioengineering Laboratory at the University of Texas at Dallas is currently available. The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for the development of new diagnostic sensors using nanomaterials and optics for infectious diseases such as respiratory infections.
Minimum Education and Experience
Ph.D in a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
Candidates applying for the position should have a PhD in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or related areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct experiments using advanced equipment and applying complex techniques, methods and procedures; plan and perform quantitative and qualitative research procedures; plan and execute the details of experiments according to research protocol; other duties as assigned.
Plan, conduct & direct a wide variety of experiments & be responsible for the
interpretation of the data obtained. Collaborate actively with the graduate students in the research group. Present results at national-international conferences & publish the results in high impact factor journals; other duties as assigned.
