As a Trade Advisor, you will act as a subject matterexpert to provide strategic consultation to clients regarding customs and othertrade related matters. You will also play a key role in establishing andimplementing best practices for customs brokerage on a national level.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintainexisting client relationships by delivering excellent quality service. Act as afocal point of contact by answering their trade related inquiries and providingresolutions in a timely manner.

  • Conduct audits, assessrisk, and analyze information/documents provided by the clients.

  • Act on behalf ofclients before the Customs Authorities.

  • Identify opportunitiesfor the next requests and other STTAS teams.

  • Partner with otherSTTAS teams on region-oriented enquiries.

  • Conducting webinars.Responsible for process management and otherduties as required for the clients and STTAS management.


  • Diploma/Degree/Master'sDegree in a related field, with a minimum of 4 – 5 years of relevant customs experience.

  • CustomsBroker License preferred. Those with customs/international trade/regulatory affairs/brokerageexperience will also be considered.

  • Solidknowledge of APAC Trade Compliance related activities including country oforigin, duty optimization/regimes, cross border documentation, etc.

  • Committedindividual with a positive attitude, strong initiative and professionalmannerisms. Able to work independently and resourceful; with the ability to tapinto existing networks and expand.

  • Excellentcommunication and negotiation skills to effectively build relationships withpeople across all levels. A strong command of English is preferred. Additionallanguages such as Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Melayu and/or Thai wouldbe a plus - to liaise with clients and counterparts in theirnative language.

  • Proficientin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
