Position Summary: The Administrative Secretary provides varied administrative support to the Medical Staff Services Department. Performs diversified administrative and clerical functions including but not limited to reception duties, filing, typing, proofreading, and scheduling.  Prepares reports and maintains department-specific documents including policy and procedure manuals.  The Administrative Secretary schedules committee meetings and prepares correspondence for meetings, agendas, and meeting materials. S/he collaborates with other departments, both internal and external.

Education: Associates degree in Office Technology, Secretarial Science, Computer, or other related business skills is required.

Experience:  Minimum of 5 years experience in an increasingly responsible admininstrative support role.

Required Skills:  Strong written and verbal communication, exceptional computer skills (including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and MS Project) are required.  Able to handle multiple requests and duties and complete in a timely manner. Ability to use discretion and independent judgement.
