ABOUT THE POSITION
TheUniversity of Louisville Division of Cardiovascular Medicineis seeking sn experienced, board-certified advanced heart failure cardiologists to join our cardiology faculty in the Heart Failure/VAD/Transplant program. Accepting applications from new graduates and seasoned professionals. Candidates must be board certified in Cardiology andAdvanced Heart Failure. Heart failure cardiologists will also perform biopsies and right heart cathsand care for patients with mechanical support devices and transplants. UofL Cardiology has been a successful transplant center since 1984 and is one of the region's leading transplant hospitals performing heart, lung, hand, liver, kidney, pancreas transplants.
The successful applicant will participate in all aspects of the HF and VAD clinical service including inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities also include teaching medical students, house staff, cardiology fellows, and fellows from the Advanced Heart Failure fellowship program. The candidate will participate in clinical trials pertaining to heart failure.
