This SRAI will contribute to our group's studies of how axons and migratory cells in the larval zebrafish epidermis affect the epithelial cells that they contact.
The SRAI will initially work closely with a post-doctoral researcher to study axon migration through the epidermis, then take the lead on a project to study the interaction between migratory and epithelial cells. Both projects will involve live imaging in zebrafish embryos and molecular and genetic manipulations.
The SRAI may also help with some lab management tasks.
