Job Description: UC Title: MED STF SVC SPEC 4 Position Number: 40920127 Reports to: Director Working Title: Medical Staff Service Spec 4 Cost Center: Medical Staff Admin (428710) Bargaining Unit: No Bargaining Unit FLSA: Exempt Date Created: 7/19/2022 Job Code: 005518 Hours: 40 Shift: Not Applicable FTE: 1 Position Summary: Incumbent is responsible for supporting the medical staff in its self-governance functions by supporting standing and ad hoc medical staff committees. This includes scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, taking and transcribing minutes, and performing meeting follow-up. The Senior Coordinator also assists in the development and maintenance of medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and policies. The Senior Coordinator may perform credentialing and privileging of physicians and allied health professionals. Salary Range: Annual Rate Minimum $58,500.00 Midpoint $81,100.00 Maximum $103,700.00 Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience in credentialing medical staff Strong Knowledge of Joint Commission JCAHO, NCQA, and Title 22 regulations Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to plan strategically Ability to apply sound judgment in ambiguous situations and effectively manage change Ability to coordinate and resolve issues in a timely manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to persuade or influence people to take appropriate action Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology Working knowledge of MS Office products Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties CPCS and/or CPMSM Certified Preferred Qualifications: Dual Certification in any of the following areas: CPMSM, CPCS, CPHQ Bachelor's degree Knowledge of University policies and procedures Conditions of Employment: The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
