Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for the registered nurse and support staff. Collaborates with leadership in developing and implementing the Union Medical Center culture, Vision, Mission and goals.
The Med/Telemetry unit at Union Medical Center is comprised of 24 beds, running about 18 per day on average. It is small and able to keep an even keeled pace; you have the opportuity to wear multiple hats for this reason. Med/Telemetry associates have the opportunity to cross train in the Emergency Room as well as the stress lab and monitor techs if they have interest in those areas. You will have the opportunity to learn a lot of information as well as having the support of cutting-edge educational support from Spartanburg Medical Center.
It is the premise of the Professional Practice Program that each of the key responsibilities builds on the preceding requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of recent R.N. experience within the past 5 years preferred.
- Current R.N. licensure in the state of South Carolina
- BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC
