The Department of Surgery- Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery in the School of Medicine, University of California, Irvine, is currently looking for a board eligible/board certified Colon and Rectal surgeon. This opening will be at the level of Health Sciences Assistant Clinical Professor or above (non-tenure), depending upon the candidate's qualifications, and will be in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series.

Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with training, qualifications, and experience.

A D.O. , M.D. or M.D./Ph.D., board certification or board eligibility in specialty, and a California Medical License are required.

The candidate should possess outstanding abilities in advanced laparoscopic/minimally invasive colon and rectal surgery as well as anorectal surgery. The candidate should have strong interest and demonstrated abilities in delivering patient care in an academic clinical setting, interest in clinical research, teaching residents and medical students, and providing service to the university are required. Finally, a history of great reviews (patient reviews or colleague observations of patient interactions) in clinical patient care is mandatory.
