The Managing Director of Philanthropic Impact, as part of Ascent's Family Office Services team, will lead the development and support of the Philanthropic Impact service offerings at Ascent Private Capital Management. As Ascent's client base grows, so will the interest in top tier philanthropic advisory and charitable administration offerings. This national role will be focused on, but not limited to, supporting the Ascent Regional Offices, in the:
Delivery of strategic philanthropy consulting services to ARO families with private foundations and donor advised funds, such as facilitating family meetings and retreats to define family giving goals, delivery of Ascent's Philanthropic Journey, consulting with foundation boards and junior boards, and attendance at foundation board meetings;
Coordination of Family Office Services to charitably minded clients such as Family Governance, Family Learning, History, Information Management, Strategic Investment Monitoring, Custom Reporting, and Wealth Strategy;
Support of, and coordination with, the trust charitable administrations teams within Wealth Management;
Coordination with Ascent's Donor Advised Fund providers;
Administration of grant programming and implementation services, including the use of WizeHive/Zengine;
Attendance at, and coordination of, events in the philanthropic community;
Preparation of marketing materials and development of subject matter expert content; and
Ddevelopment of key performance indicators and reports.
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced degree of a Ph.D., J.D., or other Masters degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of experience working with or consulting to philanthropic organizations
- LL.M. in Taxation preferred
- Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) certification preferred
- Certificate in Certified Financial Planning preferred
- Broad knowledge regarding private foundations, board design and decision making
- Strong speaking and writing skills
- Collaborative and professional
- Highly motivated and results driven
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Tableau
- Experience with grant administration and reporting systems, such as WizeHive/Zengine
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
