St. Mary Mercy Hospital has an excellent full time Family Medicine Program Director opportunity to provide leadership for the Family Medicine Residency program located in Livonia, Michigan.
The Family Medicine Program Director is responsible for the leadership, organization, operation, and the general administration of the Family Medicine Residency Program sponsored by St. Mary Mercy Hospital. The Program Director establishes the strategic direction of the program and is responsible for the standards, quality and reputation of the Family medicine residency program. The Program Director is expected to integrate the Family medicine residency program with physician practices and hospital clinical services in a manner that enhances value and quality, and that promotes an optimal environment for professional practice.
At a minimum, the program director will be required to devote 0.6 FTE of non-clinical time to the administration of the program as required by ACGME based on trainee numbers with remainder of time clinical.
The selected candidate must have specialty expertise and at least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience, or qualifications acceptable to the Review Committee to carry out the responsibilities of the role and to achieve the goals and objectives of the program. The program director must commit to holding the position for a length of time adequate to maintain continuity of leadership and program stability but no less than 3 years. Minimum of five years' experience as teaching faculty in an ACGME accredited Family medicine residency program is also required.
