POSITION SUMMARY Repair, calibrate, and maintain complex medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems while maintaining effective customer relations. The Lead will act as a technical biomed representative on collaborations and projects and act as a Tier 3 resource for other technicians. They will be responsible for leading various activities and directing activities of the fellow biomed technicians. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Licenses and Certifications Required Must be BMET#certified within 1 year of accepting the position. Educational Requirements Associates Degree in electronics or Biomedical Technology is highly desirable. Minimum of#10 years# experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment. Experience Requirements Computer experience. Special Skills or Training Requirements Knowledge of technical aspects of electronic equipment and its operation, repair and maintenance. Knowledge of current regulatory requirements. Ability to troubleshoot, analyze, repair and test electronic equipment. Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals. Follow proper safety practices and procedures while working on electrical equipment. Will maintain good working relationships with fellow co-workers, nursing, medical staff, vendors, manufacturers and the general public. Will be expected to participate in meetings, seminars, committees, training, workshops and conferences as required. Will maintain communications with customers, to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction. Will maintain a clean and safe workplace.
