Director of Financial Reporting
As Director of Financial Reporting, you would be part of a vital and collaborative team that works daily to successfully manage the financial aspects of our business. Your knowledge on current competitive and market trends in our industry, keeping up to date on existing and new financial disclosure releases issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), along with your ability to assess the effects of accounting standards on an organization's business activities, will make you a valuable asset in disseminating important financial information to senior and executive leadership. Your leadership and coaching skills will allow you to develop and grow your team members, elevating the quality of the department's work and furthering your career path.
Work directly with leadership to develop strategies to meet departmental and business needs for optimized performance and accuracy.
Responsible for timely external filings to our Investors required under our Indenture and Credit Agreements, including financial statements and related disclosures, Form 8-K and press releases.
Research, interpret, document and implement new SEC and FASB pronouncements and regulations.
Review and ensure compliance with all debt covenants and assist where needed with securing financing.
Work with executive leadership and legal counsel on structuring and executing new debt agreements, and/or refinancing existing agreements.
Manage presentation materials and timeline for quarterly board of managers meetings, road shows and investor meetings.
Serve as liaison and key contributor to earnings call preparation process, including script, executive Q&A and location/call setup.
Work closely with Accounting team to obtain reporting deliverables to meet deadlines.
Assist Legal, Compliance and Tax departments with regional, state and federal regulatory filings.
Manage department related internal controls to safeguard Company assets and ensure complete and accurate reporting.
Train, coach, and review the work product of your team, ensuring accuracy and high quality as well as providing development and growth opportunities to allow the team to exceed expectations.
Train and provide education to senior management on important accounting issues.
Assist in the coordination of and communication with external auditors.
Drive continuous business process improvement through the design and implementation of technologies as well as consistently looking to implement efficiencies in policies, processes and procedures.
Partner with the Communications Team to ensure proper controls are in place for all internal and external communications distributed by the Company and our Leadership through multiple outlets.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with concentration in Financial Reporting
- Demonstrated ability to lead, plan and manage change
- Knowledge of SEC reporting requirements
- Solid understanding of GAAP
- Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles
- Strong financial services industry experience or multi-unit business environment (multiple entities under one umbrella)
- Ability to collaborate with departments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA, CFA and/or IRC (or equivalent Investor Relations certifications)
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Essbase, Workiva or equivalent reporting softwares
- Experience working in a Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) environment
- Experience in an organization experiencing significant growth
The Director of Financial Reporting will be a part of the Accounting, Treasury and Finance Team, a dynamic group comprised of leaders, multi-taskers and problem solvers. This team handles all the day-to-day financial and accounting activities for the organization, as well as maintains the appropriate internal controls.
