What will you do?

  • Workers primary responsibility is to successfully ship out orders of the day in a timely, safe and productive manner
  • Must wear safety steel toed shoes and uniforms (provided by fisher scientific)
  • Performs powered industrial truck pre-use safety inspection check list
  • Reports malfunctioning powered industrial trucks and uses lockout/tagout s.o.p.'s
  • Maintains clean orderly equipment
  • Directs, stages and places all material in or outside the building
  • Uses proper material handling equipment to perform required tasks
  • Picks, prepares, packages, documents, labels and ships all material according to prescribed regulation and using proper dispatching equipment
  • Originates short sheet forms Unloads, verifies, sorts, separates locates and properly documents all material
  • Rotate stock as directed
  • Removes and properly disposes of refuse
  • Performs all other duties as required

How will you get here?

Education
  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience
  • The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience, including RF Scanning, Fork Lift operation and may be required to use respirator
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation
  • Previous experience with computers is required
  • Previous experience in a chemical environment in preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Candidate must be comfortable working in an environment with hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills including detail orientation and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work alternately in a seated or standing position is required
  • Knowledge of safety practices is desirable
  • Will perform all other duties as may apply to the existing job description
