DIVISION SUMMARY

Launched in 2011 to enhance customer productivity, Unity Lab Services is one of Thermo Fisher Scientific's five premier brands. We provide a single source for integrated lab service, support, and supply management. IES (the internal acronym standing for Instrument and Enterprise Services Division) encompasses over 3600 global service professionals with the broadest service portfolio in the market coupled with access to a deep bench of domain expertise.

POSITION SUMMARY

Location : remote France

The Account Manager is responsible for selling service contracts to a new or existing customer who has bought or planning to buy Thermo Instruments. In this critical sales position, you will focus on exceeding the sales quotas for our service portfolio by selling and negotiating contracts with end-user customers, key decision-makers, and procurement. You will collaborate with cross-divisional & channel distribution partners, product & application specialists, customer experience, and business development teams to help drive sales and growth for territory or region.

This is a field-based position that requires frequent travel to customer accounts. Please note due to the pandemic and government guidelines using video calls and conferencing will be the alternative arrangement.

What will you do?

  • Achieve and exceed quarterly & yearly sales goals within assigned territory
  • Identify, develop and close large sales opportunities
  • Identify customer solutions that span across multiple business sectors and cross-functional stakeholders, and collaborate effectively to execute the sale plan
  • Support cross-functional customer planning sessions and business reviews of service solutions for various customers
  • Develop, implement and maintain account-specific strategies/proposals to drive incremental growth opportunities
  • Utilize technology to accurately forecast sales stages and sales pipeline
  • Act as a country/regional Account Manager for Strategic customers but also as EMEA IES owner of assigned EMEA wide customers to maintain and grow business
  • Sells new products by creating and utilizing value propositions content in establishing key customers relationships and understanding customer service/support needs
  • Sell products/services through, virtual video tools, telephone as well as face-to-face contact
  • Utilizes strategic messaging and sales approach for the broader target audience with superior knowledge of our service products
  • Train, Motivate, and support divisional Sales partners to sell services early at POS to achieve sales goals
  • Act as a resource to others in determining the best course of action in compliance with quality processes and business rules and regulations
  • Monitor competitive activity and industry trends, creating competitive solutions
  • Submits accurate weekly forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights, marketing intelligence, and maintains data integrity within SalesForce.com CRM
  • Submits monthly business review of territory/region on actual sales performance Vs AOP
  • Maintain intensity and continually striving to increase contract penetration coverage of instrument install base

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science or equivalent education or experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of exceptional selling experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience successfully meeting or exceeding sales target in a business environment
  • Experience demonstrating consistent sales growth in a previous sales role
  • Demonstrable experience creating and executing sales and/or field marketing plans
  • Success in territory management plans with a focus on developing long-term relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. TEAMS, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)

Preferred Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of assigned product portfolio and corresponding technical understanding of instruments (CMD, RSD, or LPD)
  • Familiarity with the following industries: biotech, clinical, pharmaceutical, academic/medical research, environmental, food, forensics, and petrochemical
  • Proficiency with sales software like Salesforce.com and SAP
