The job:
Regional Tactical Marketing Manager, Industry
Group/Division: Specialty Diagnostics Group (SDG), Microbiology Division (MBD)
Position Location: Remote /Field: UK, or Austria or Germany or Switzerland or Nordics. – Must be located near an airport

The Regional Marketing Manager for the Industrial markets for the DACH, Nordic and UK regions, will be responsible for driving marketing activities and supporting the commercial team into the Food and Pharmaceutical markets for the full suite of products across the microbiology portfolio. He/she will work closely with the Commercial organization, Marcom and Product Managers to guide and support them with analysis, targeting, and customer-specific marketing approaches to accelerate the divisions business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong domain expertise in the food or Pharma segment
What you will do:

  • Develop and implement a winning regional marketing plan for his/her region aligned to the Annual Operating Plan
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns, region-wide or country-specific
  • Provide domain expertise to the commercial team in the field of Food & Pharma segments
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in his/her territory
  • Proactively collect market intelligence in the territory, feeding it back into the organization to drive better strategic planning and execution
  • Support Commercial organization with customer targeting, support material (e.g., presentations, total-cost-of-ownership models, battle cards, etc.), and expert guidance on Food Protection and Pharmaceutical products
  • Join on high-value sales calls as the Food Protection and Pharmaceutical products expert

Who we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Analytical science or microbiology degree preferred but not required
  • Several years' experience working with sales and Food Protection or Pharmaceutical customers
  • Experience in marketing and collaborating closely with teams across multiple regions
  • English required; one additional language in territory preferred (German)
  • Ability to create strategic plans, translate them to tactical programs, and drive execution to drive opportunities for the commercial organization
  • Strong track record of driving improvement in business performance

  • Ability to listen and influence across teams (without direct authority)
  • Strong communicator
  • Willingness to travel (25%-50%)

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
  • Domain expertise in the food or Pharma market segment
  • Several years' experience working with sales and Food Protection or Pharmaceutical customers
  • Ability to create strategic plans, translate them to tactical programs, and drive execution
