How will you make an impact?

  • Provide analytical support for raw material, in-process and stability samples in fast paced GMP laboratory environment.
  • Make detailed observations and reviews; documents and communicates test results; recommends solutions.
  • Author SOPs, Deviation Reports, and Out of Specification Reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives with respect to training and improving efficiency while maintaining quality.

What will you do?

  • Perform testing with the following instrumentation: HPLC, GC PXRD, Dissolution, DSC, FT-IR and KF.
  • Records and reports results of analysis in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.
  • Clearly and accurately communicates the results of work by creating documentation of the testing/analysis and obtained results.
  • Reviews and interprets analytical test results and makes recommendations based on data.
  • Collaborates with internal scientific, analytical, laboratory and quality functional areas to meet project and team objectives.
  • May interact with customers and auditors
  • Recognizes and reports out-of-specification or unexpected results and non-routine analytical and product problems; recommends solutions.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots analytical instrumentation as needed.
  • Writes SOPs and other instructional documents.
  • Maintains laboratory work space to ensure it is audit ready.
  • Performs all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Safety guidelines. Maintains the necessary compliance status required by company and facility standards.

How will you get here?

Education:

  • Minimum required education: Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related physical science.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of HPLC experience performing assay/related substance analysis.
  • At least 3 years working in a regulated laboratory environment required (GMP experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Empower chromatography data collection software is preferred.
  • Experience with Dissolution testing is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Excellent critical and logical thinking skills to solve problems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good knowledge of qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis as it relates to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Understanding of GMP and data integrity (ALCOA).
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write standard operating procedures, protocols, and reports.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies.
