Location/Division Specific Information

Fremont, CA – Material & Structural Analysis Division

How will you make an impact?

Reporting to the Material Manager for Manufacturing in Fremont, this position serves as a team member in the planning of material management functions including sourcing, procurement, following policies and procedures related to all supply activities, negotiation, implementing optimal solutions, and using MRP/SAP systems to assure proper planning to support the company's growing business

What will you do?

  • Review supply matching, product schedule, and forecast
  • Develop sourcing strategy; search and select suppliers
  • Ensure that materials are properly requisitioned, ordered and delivered on time driven by MRP or Re-order point system
  • Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
  • Coordinate engineering change order activity with suppliers and other functional groups
  • Liaise with suppliers on non-compliant issues and work with suppliers on replacements or repairs

How will you get here?

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or Material Management preferred

Experience

  • 5-8 years of purchasing and material/production planning and scheduling in a fast paced environment
  • Experience expediting and issuing purchase orders
  • Reviewing and resolving NCRs and work to identify programs which will lead to reduction of supplier related NCRs.
  • Working with appropriate parties to resolve invoice issues to minimize overdue invoices

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • The ability to analyze Bills of Materials, Master Schedules, Excess and Obsolete Inventory Reports in order to collect, analyze, and summarize information and trends.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in MSNAV system
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • Good negotiation skills, multitasking skills with good organizational skills
