Description
Position Overview:
The FCAP Transportation Specialist is expected to reduce the occurrences of youth AWOLS from court using the various strategies/interventions, these methods may include assessing risk, individual/group meetings with youth, transport planning, proximity control, coordinating with probation officers & court officials. Transportation Specialist is also a seasoned team leader during the shift providing supportive therapeutic engagement to youth and provide management support to the shift supervisor and leadership to the shift team in the absence of Shift Supervisor.
Position Qualifications:
A high School diploma or GED equivalency is required. At least one year experience working in a detention/correction program. Must possess a valid state driver's license. Good written & verbal skills. Has demonstrated ability to care for children and youth in a nurturing and therapeutic manner. Has demonstrated an understanding of The Children's Village Values as presented in pre-employment training. Ability to put into practice all techniques of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (as taught in pre-employment training) and demonstrated respect for client's rights and safety. Ability to demonstrate counseling techniques
Salary: $40,015.50-$46,017.83
