Department Overview

The Specialized Human Resources team has dynamic and committed specialists that acts like an owner through providing standard methodologies and providing subject matter expertise to business leaders. We provide guidance in policy and program development and lead the effective governance of the Bank. About this Role

Are you a dynamic professional with deep knowledge of providing highly specialized consultative services, and guidance to business leaders? Are you passionate about leading the development, design, delivery and oversight of effective enterprise HR plans, policies, program solutions and advice in alignment with business strategies? Can you manage projects and assignments ranging in complexity or scope? If so, then apply for the position of Specialized HR Manager today where you will:

  • Act as key contact and deep expert within area of expertise for the development, design and delivery of effective HR plans, policies, programs and advice in support of HR strategies
  • Share specialized expert knowledge, provide consultation and solutions to business management and HR teams
  • Maintain awareness of changing legal/regulatory requirements and practices within the industry and consult with policy/process owners within HR to ensure compliance
  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for own business area
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence
  • Lead relationships with corporate and/or control functions to ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements
  • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques
  • Expert professional requiring specialized knowledge and expertise in their own field and deep experience in integrating knowledge in related areas
  • Solve or may lead others to solve complex problems; leads efforts or partners with others to develop new solutions
  • Interpret internal/external business challenges and the industry environment, recommend course of action and best practices to improve policies, processes or services
  • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promote service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
  • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:
  • Undergraduate degree with over 7 years of work experience
  • Solid understanding in own field of specialty to perform work and coordinate processes and information across related teams independently as well as part of a team with flexibility
  • Sound knowledge of using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques, MS Office Suite and Internet applications
  • A dynamic professional with willingness to take initiative on upcoming tasks and projects
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple HR specialties, HR strategy development, HR policy, consulting principles, lines of businesses supported, banking industry practices, regulations, standards, tools, methodologies
  • Strong written and verbal communications to interpret policies and apply standards to complete assignments in a fast-changing environment
  • An analytical mind with orientation to detail for handling initiatives, projects and programs with minimal direction from management
